At present, when world wide water resources are inadequate, desalination of seawater is the main source of fresh water. However, the main methods applied in this field are evaporation and membrane permeation which are restricted by high costs.

By comprehensively and flexibly applying technologies developed from available forces generated by nature itself, our system is able to produce large-scale production of fresh water at low cost.

System description

Desalination of seawater GBC material Salt reduction and filtration

  1. Seawater is input into the system by tides.
  2. Salt in the seawater is filtered and reduced by plants and microbes which can absorb salt instinctively.
  3. Designed with drop height, the step-shaped system disposes of salt of the seawater step by step without wasting energy.
  4. At last, the fresh water flows into reservoir.
